Martin Melchor - Hand Carved Dalmatian on Stilts

Artist Martin Melchor is a master of whimsy.  This wonderful hand carved dalmatian is hand painted underneath her costume.  Martin's wife makes the costumes and these figures on stilts loosely represent the figures that are in any number of parades throughout Oaxaca each month.  Hand crafted in San Martin Tilcajete, Oaxaca.  Baby is separate as is the stand.
