This piece represents a traditional folkloric dance throughout Mexico, the Dance of the Jaguar. This Jaguar is richly adorned with the traditional costume to represent the big cat. It features a catrin under his elaborate costume. Created by Patricia Castillo, daughter of the famous Alfonso Castillo of Izucar de Matamoros and husband Paul Jolet. A true collaboration in some of the finest collectible Mexican Folk Art. Created in the traditional familia Castillo and Orta style.
