Patricia Castillo and Paul Jolet - Mexican Folk Art Danzante Sombrero de Muertos
This piece represents a traditional folkloric dance throughout Mexico, the Dance of the Sombrero. This sombrero is richly adorned witha braid coming down the back. It features a catrin in a finely detailed costume and mask of the conquistador. Created by Patricia Castillo, daughter of the famous Alfonso Castillo of Izucar de Matamoros and husband Paul Jolet. A true collaboration in some of the finest collectible Mexican Folk Art. Created in the traditional familia Castillo and Orta style.
