COSAS offers a special selection textiles and clothing from Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Bolivia. Our clothing includes blouses, skirts, huipiles, and other wearable art; all hand made, many items hand or machine embroidered. Our textiles for the home includes table runners and table cloths, throws, wall hangings and arpilleras.

Every item is hand crafted, many backstrap loom woven with natural hand spun and dyed materials. We work with many cooperatives and buy directly from the artisans who make the items.

Some of the Guatemalan Huipiles are used, yet still beautiful. Please note that the necks of some of these items can be small. In order to wear them, it is customary to cut a slit along the shoulder and put a new piping around the neckline.

All works are one of a kind and flaws are common in folk art. Due to the delicate nature of many of these works, we will recommend that we do not ship some of the featured items.
