Sirenas, Mariachis y Mas by Terry Gay Puckett
Opening Reception July 10, 4-8pm and running through August 12

As a frequent traveler for many years to Mexico and Guatemala , Terry’s work is inspired by the people, costumes, legends, and humor of these countries. She is a folk art collector, and whimsical objects often find their way into her work.
With watercolors, she quickly shares a memory, or a story. Paintings with acrylics on canvas are fanciful compositions, intended to take the viewer on a visual vacation with composition and color. Her studio and home is in San Antonio. Puckett was “Artist of the Year 2009” at the San Antonio Art League and Museum, and is a Professor Emeritus, St. Philip’s College, San Antonio .
