Salvador Vazquez Symbolism of Tonala

Salvador had not painted on canvas in over 40 years until we asked him to this past summer. He has created a series of small canvases exclusively for COSAS with images of Tonala Nahual symbolism used by he and Jorge Wilmot decades ago. This is the first time these images have been represented together in a group in years. And, Salvador has written an interpretation of each painting on the back of each piece.

Second Saturday in Boerne is composed of an eclectic collection of galleries and "other walls" featuring an evolving presentation of art in all media. You will find contemporary works and Mexican and Latin American folk art, as well as more traditional fare represented in the works of an array of artists throughout this charming hill country town. A complimentary trolley as well as wine and hors d'oeuvres at many locations make this a must see arts destination each and every "Second Saturday"...
