Victor is a reserved man dedicated to his craft.  He is best known for his elaborate tin boxes, some enhances with glass or mirror inserts.  He has a small studio inside his house in the Xochimilco section of Oaxaca.  He believes that the government should support more artists and help people recognize those works of the highest quality and welcomes visitors to his taller.

His work began at the age of 10 by working with his older cousin for decades.  His work is highly detailed with creases, holes, indentations and folds in the tin.  Many have a series of parts and can take days to create.
