Consuela lives in the village of Tzin Tzun Tzan in Michoacan, once the center of the Purepecha empire. Her primitive white and brown clay pottery is known around the world. The images depict simple everyday life situations from the villages around the lake. She is well known for her whimsically painted plates, angels and sirenas.
