At the age of 13, Cayetano Corona set out to learn the craft of Talavera.  He went to the city of Puebla and went to work for the famed Uriarte family.  After many years of mastering his craft, Cayetano decided to go off on his own and opened his factory in the neighboring state of Tlaxcala.  His work is highly respected and he is now one of Mexico’s Great Masters of Folk Art.  While today, many of the Talavera factories in Puebla are mass producing, Cayetano insists on following the timeworn technique of producing Talavera and aims to preserve this traditional craft.

Cayatano’s line boasts over 115 different patterns and numerous different sizes and shapes of dishware, vases, bathroom accessories, etc.  Special orders are welcome.
